Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to identify the characteristics and analyze the quality level of studiesregarding the effectiveness of sensory integration therapy on feeding and oral function through a single-subjectresearch design.

Methods: A total of seven studies were chosen through the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS) and KoreanStudies Information Service System (KISS). Keywords were sensory integration, sensory integration therapy, sensory stimulation, and oral defensiveness. The characteristics and quality level were analyzed.

Results: A reversal design was used in every study. Sensory integration therapy and oral related intervention wereused at the same time. After intervention, dependent variables such as feeding, breathing, posture, drooling, andbrushing teeth
were increased. The treatment time, number of minutes, and duration varied. The quality level wasmoderate overall.

Conclusion: The effectiveness of sensory integration therapy on feeding and oral function was identified. Thequality level of single-subject design research was deemed appropriate. A high quality level of study should beexecuted using an extra method for increasing the validity in the future.
